| The DVD, “Survivors of the Academy,” features remarks by Travis James Rowley and Professor Carey E. Stronach at an Accuracy in Academia luncheon. The event, part of AIA’s “Conservative University” lecture series, took place June 19, 2006 on Capitol Hill. Mr. Rowley discussed his book, Out of Ivy: How a Liberal Ivy Created a Committed Conservative, which details how the culture of “victimization, ultra-sensitivity, the whining, and the political wickedness” at Brown University turned him into a staunch conservative. Dr. Stronach, Professor Emeritus of Physics at Virginia State University and President of the Virginia Association of Scholars, spoke about the need for academic freedom instead of ideological indoctrination on campus. |
